Lunch at Waterfront Cafe
November 5, 2008We had lunch at Waterfront Cafe that is a must go if you’re ever in Barbados. The cafe was cozy and the view over the harbor in Bridgetown was nice. The shopping wasn’t the best but we did manage to find a few things. (Jenny, they sell this cute coconut bags here that we found in Maldives, soo cute) We had some bajan food that was well-deserved after our shopping and watched the sunset! Afterwards, we went to the bar next door and got drunk on wine and bad mojitas : )

Bridgetown for a day
November 5, 2008We went down to Bridgetown today and without the rain and adding some sunshine the city looked very different. The place was shining and people looked a lot more friendly when the weather was good! I like Bridgetown a lot. It’s very small and very cosy with small local shops and malls the size of H&M at home.

Chill-in at The Sandy Lane
November 3, 2008So elegant, so glamourous and so fancy! Sandy Lane is where the rich and famous gather to have a good time in Barbados. It’s also where Tiger Woods got married. And now that I have been there, i can understand why. We had lunch there yesterday (veeery expensive lunch) and stayed around for drinks afterwards. The place is really beautiful…

Oistins Fish Fry
November 1, 2008Oistins Fish Fry is where locals and non-locals meet every friday to eat fried or barbecued fish, drink cocktails, listen to live music and just hung around. The area was filled with families, children, older and younger people and whole atmosphere was really laid back. We bought fresh fish that they barbecued for us and sat and eat and listened to the music and just enjoyed ourselves.

St Lawrence Gap
October 31, 2008St Lawrence Gap is a area with restaurants, bars and night clubs on the south-coast. I wasn’t really that impressed by the place. It felt very tacky and like a typical British tourist place. We had some drinks on a beach-club and wandered around. They had a few smaller shops, but mostly was tourist gift shops. In the evening we went to have dinner at the famous “The Restaurant at the South Sea”. Food was really good and we got a good table with view of the Caribbean sea : )
